Ok so the Drupal tutorial I’m using to set up this site said I should write and about me page but I’m not really sure what to write so here are some ramblings about me. I work for KiwiRail as an Asset and Planning Engineer in the Network Performance team, in my spare time I am a trustee and volunteer for the Rimutaka Incline Rail Heritage Trust.

I have a small collection of railway memorabilia including two ex-NZR motor trolleys. One is a 2-man aluminium trolley and is basically operational and the other is a 4-man that I want to restore to the original 1951 blueprint.

I also have a collection of vintage toy trains (000, 0 and Standard Gauges). While I don’t have room for a permanent layout at the moment although I do dream of building a 0 gauge pike in the future.

My other hobby is brewing beer with a friend of mine and we’re currently working on perfecting our own imperial pale ale recipe.
